Welcome to qrmycontactcard.com. This is a free tool that lets anyone generate a QR code containing their contact information. By using the tool, you agree to the terms below. We've tried to keep them short and plain.
Acceptable Use
You may use qrmycontactcard.com to generate QR codes in two situations only: (1) the card contains your own contact information, or (2) the card contains someone else's contact information and that person has explicitly asked you — or clearly given you permission — to create and share it this way. You must not use this tool to:
- Generate a QR code containing another person's contact information without their explicit, informed consent — even if you already know that information from other contexts.
- Distribute, post, print, publish, share, or otherwise disseminate a QR code containing another person's contact information — whether to a single recipient or to many — without the explicit consent of the person whose information is in the code. This includes physical distribution (flyers, stickers, printed materials, displays) and digital distribution (websites, social media, messaging apps, email campaigns).
- Impersonate any person, brand, company, or organization.
- Include misleading or false contact information intended to deceive or defraud others.
- Upload logos, images, or branding you do not own or have permission to use.
- Create QR codes for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or fraudulent purposes, including but not limited to phishing, stalking, harassment, or identity theft.
- Attempt to circumvent any technical measure, rate limit, or safeguard in the tool.
Making a card for someone else?
That's a common and legitimate use — many people create cards for a spouse, parent, small business partner, or colleague. The only rule: the person whose contact information is on the card must know about it and be comfortable with it being shared this way. If you're not sure whether they'd agree, ask them first. When in doubt, don't.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content of the QR codes you generate and for every use you make of them afterward, including any printing, posting, sharing, publishing, or mass distribution — whether to a single recipient or to many. By using this tool, you represent that you either own all the information personally, or have received explicit permission from the person it belongs to, both for its inclusion in the QR code and for the manner in which the QR code will be shared.
Your obligations under these terms continue to apply to QR codes after you've left this site — for every recipient, every display, and every copy. Closing the browser tab does not end your responsibility for the content you generated.
What We Store
Nothing from your QR codes. This tool runs entirely in your web browser. We do not collect, store, transmit, or retain any contact information, images, or QR codes you generate. We do not log form submissions. Once you close the tab, your data is gone.
Because we store nothing, we cannot recover content for you, and we cannot review or screen content in advance. This is a deliberate privacy choice.
Visitor counting. We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count how many people visit the site. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, does not store IP addresses, and does not collect any personal data. It simply counts anonymous pageviews so we know whether anyone is using the tool.
No Warranty
The tool is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with any specific device, browser, or QR scanner. You use the tool at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the operators of this tool nor The House of O & K, LLC shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this tool or any QR codes generated with it. Because we do not store or review your content, you bear full responsibility for how the tool is used.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operators of qrmycontactcard.com, The House of O & K, LLC, and their respective affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of this tool; (b) any content you include in QR codes you generate, including contact information and images; (c) your distribution, sharing, posting, printing, or display of any QR code generated with this tool; or (d) your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.
In plain English: if someone brings a legal claim against us because of how you used this tool — for example, if you generated or distributed a QR code containing someone else's information without their permission — you agree to cover the legal costs we incur as a result. This clause survives your use of the tool.
Report Abuse
If you believe someone has used this tool to impersonate a person, brand, or organization — or otherwise misused it to cause harm, including by creating or distributing a QR code containing your contact information without your consent — we want to hear about it. Please report it to the address below with any context that might help, such as a photo of the QR code, where you encountered it, and when.
Report misuse, impersonation, or unauthorized distribution
We review reports promptly and will cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement, courts, and authorized investigators. While we cannot review user content in advance (since nothing is stored), we take abuse reports seriously and will assist victims through proper legal channels wherever we can.
